An article in the Roanoke Times on Friday pointed to the correlation between the Redskins’ performance in their last home game before a presidential election and the outcome of the presidential election. It seems that since 1936 the outcome of the final Redskins home game before the election has correctly predicted the outcome of the Presidential election. If the Redskins win their last home game, the incumbant party wins the election. If they lose, the incumbant party loses.
Yesterday, the Redskins lost to Green Bay at home: 14 to 28.
Ordinarily, I don’t believe in such things. Correlation does not imply causation, yadda, yadda, yadda. Nevertheless, it’s time to hire the movers, GWB. You’re going home to Crawford.
